Job Description

AGRIM is a fast-growing Agri-tech startup building an on-demand B2B Agri-input marketplace. Agri-inputs is a $50bn industry spread across Seeds, Agro Chemicals, Fertilizers, Agro-Tools and Animal Feed. AGRIM has scaled up rapidly across India, with 10% of the overall customer universe already onboarded on the platform.

Having closed our Series B round of funding (to be announced publicly in the coming weeks) with Tier-1 investors, we are very well capitalized. Roles & Responsibilities -

1. Managing Agri-Input Compliance Framework

· Ensure compliance with all applicable agricultural, environmental, and trade laws related to agri-inputs.

· Monitor and interpret evolving regulations in the agri-inputs sector to keep the organization updated on legal changes.

· Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Supply Chain, etc.) to align business processes with regulatory requirements.

· Handle product registrations, licensing, and other legal filings specific to agri-inputs compliance.

2. Legal Agreement Management

· Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, partnership agreements, vendor contracts, and other legal documents.

· Establish standardized contract templates and processes to enhance efficiency while minimizing risk.

· Ensure all agreements align with company objectives and comply with applicable laws and industry standards.

· Provide expert advice on dispute resolution and manage legal escalations when needed.

3. Program Management for Compliance Projects

· Develop, implement, and monitor compliance-related initiatives and projects across the company.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks and implement corrective action plans.

· Maintain comprehensive documentation and reporting for internal audits and regulatory inspections.

· Provide training to internal teams on compliance best practices and legal risks.


Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B); Master’s degree (LL.M) preferred.

· 2-3 years of experience in legal advisory roles, preferably with exposure to Agri-inputs, FMCG, or related industries.

· Knowledge of agricultural laws, environmental regulations, and product compliance frameworks.

· Proven experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.

· Excellent program management skills with the ability to handle multiple compliance initiatives simultaneously.

· Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
