We are in search of a seasoned Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to join our dynamic team. As a key contributor, you will play a vital role in shaping our technology stack, mentoring junior developers, and driving the technical excellence necessary for Bijak to reach its ambitious goals. We are looking for a hands-on individual with a passion for innovation, the ability to work independently, and a knack for mentoring and guiding the next generation of developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of assigned projects from high-level project scope down to details of individual class, API design and database design
• Work independently or within a team environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Implement and improve DevOps and Engineering practices for all services.
• Demonstrate expertise in microservices architecture.
• Integrate Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Explore and apply knowledge of Docker and AWS Serverless (Lambda/Fargate) as advantageous components.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
• 3-8 years of experience in Software Engineering.
• Very strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience with NodeJS/Python
• Experience in working on Java, MySQL/PostgreSQL
• Experience in developing RESTful Web services using any framework.
• Working knowledge of git

Good to Have:

• Database Experience: Worked on NoSQL databases like MongoDB, DynamoDB.
• Cloud Services: Expertise with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• CI/CD: Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD) training or experience.
• Containerization: Worked with Docker.
• Serverless Computing: Experience with AWS Serverless (Lambda/Fargate).
