Efeed is a precision animal management and nutrition company that leverages Artificial Intelligence to build personalized feed recommendations for the animals to improve their yields and reduce methane emissions. Efeed was founded on the thesis that smartphones are the most powerful and cheapest sensors in farmers' hands today, thus making data acquisition and reaching a farmer easy. The mission is to mitigate methane emissions in developed economies and enhance milk and meat production yields in emerging economies. The farmer-facing mobile application utilizes built-in sensors for data collection, reducing the reliance on expensive hardware. The data helps identify various deficiencies and thus allows us to formulate specialty premixes/additives to enhance yields and reduce methane emissions. Precision data of cattle helps to predict potential diseases, recommend localized feeding, and estimate milking during the given lactation cycle. This helps in proactive diagnostics of animals.
