Job Description - Sr. Service Manager

Sr. Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and AMC of solar pumping systems for our clients. This includes managing a team of Service Managers, Technicians, and Engineers scheduling and overseeing service calls, and ensuring all service work is completed in a timely and efficient manner. The successful candidate must possess a strong background in the solar industry, experience in running SAP, and a proven track record in managing teams and meeting key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of Service Managers operating in various states, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop and implement strategies, processes, and standard operating procedures to optimize service operations and drive efficiency across the team.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing regular feedback, coaching, and performance reviews to enhance individual and team productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and operations, to align service objectives with overall business goals and strategies.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a primary point of contact for escalations, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the service team, ensuring they are aligned with organisational goals and objectives.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, address challenges, and promote a positive work environment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors
  • Prepare and present monthly management information system (MIS) reports, highlighting key performance metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies throughout all service operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business Administration) or 5-10 years’ work experience in similar role .
  • Candidate from Solar EPC company should have handled operations & maintenance of solar PV plants (handled team size of 10-20 engineers)
  • Strong technical knowledge of solar pumping systems and related technologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint knowledge of SAP will be an advantage
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally to different states for team coordination and client engagements.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in reporting and data management.
  • Ability to work well under pressure
