1. Production and Process Management:
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily manufacturing and packing operations to meet production goals.
- Optimize production processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and minimal wastage.
- Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in production processes.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials and finished products to maintain quality.
2. Quality Control and Compliance:
- Establish robust quality assurance and quality control systems to meet regulatory and industry standards (e.g., HACCP, FSSAI, ISO 22000).
- Conduct regular quality audits and address any non-conformance issues promptly.
- Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and environmental standards throughout the plant.
3. Team Building and Management:
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of production, maintenance, and packing staff.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and high performance among employees.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement training programs for skill development.
4. Maintenance and Technical Oversight:
- Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of all machinery and equipment.
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with technical teams for troubleshooting and upgrades as required.
5. Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
- Monitor and manage raw material inventory to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of raw materials and packaging materials.
- Oversee finished goods inventory and ensure timely dispatch to distributors or customers.
6. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
- Develop and enforce workplace safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions for all staff.
- Implement waste management and environmental sustainability initiatives.
7. Reporting and Strategic Planning:
- Prepare regular reports on production, quality, costs, and operational efficiency for senior management.
- Analyze plant performance data and recommend strategies for optimization.
- Set and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate overall plant performance.
- Hands on knowledge of ERP, Power BI, Tableau.
- Understands the tech development a need and flow everything backed with some data insights.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or food processing, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in setting up and commissioning a manufacturing plant.
Technical Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of dry fruit processing, sorting, grading, and packing equipment.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulatory standards (e.g., FSSAI, HACCP, ISO 22000).
- Proficiency in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is preferred.
- Machine Learning & artificial intelligence applications for decision making is a plus.
