Pixxel is a space data company building a health monitor for our planet. We are doing that by deploying a constellation of some of the world's most advanced earth imaging satellites in lower earth orbit and an analytics platform (on ground) with tools that enable easy application of this data across a multitude of sectors. Our fully deployed constellation will be capable of beaming down daily imagery of any place on earth. This role will contribute towards the assembly, integration and testing activities for the constellation of satellites.

Responsibilities:

1. As a part of Pixxel’s Production Team, you will be responsible for handling day to day operations on the shop floor dedicated to satellite assembly, integration and testing.
2. You will be working in close collaboration with the production managers to formulate satellite production procedures and test plans for all jobs on the shop floor.
3. You would be responsible for allocating and overseeing associated tasks to technicians on a daily basis.
4. You will be responsible for upkeep and maintenance of all the clean rooms & labs areas along with all the tools and test instruments, as per the industry standards.
5. You’ll be responsible of overseeing the storage and handling of all the components of the spacecraft, and the operations of the labs and areas where such materials are handled such as electronics labs and clean rooms.
6. You will be working closely with the Inventory Management Team in order to track all the satellite components and associated equipment throughout the production process, using an enterprise resource planning tool.
7. You will be expected to resolve emergencies and conflicts on the production shop floor efficiently and creatively.
   
8. You would be expected to implement industry good practices related to production shop floor’s safety, cleanliness, 5S, lean manufacturing, breakdown protocols, etc.

Basic Qualification:

1. BE/B.Tech or ME/MTech/MSc in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Aerospace / Electrical / Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
2. 5+ years Experience working hands-on with Project management, Production Planning and preferably in Lab/Shop floor incharge of highly critical and complex systems such as spacecrafts, satellite systems etc.

Skills/Requirements:

1. Impeccable communication skills, in order to interface between the production team and technicians on a daily basis.
2. Experience in reading and understanding datasheets, technical reports, wiring diagrams, schematics and test plans is a must.
3. Good Experience in resource and production planning enterprise tools, like SAP, ERP etc.
4. Highly proficient in documentation and planning tools like Google office (Docs, Sheets), MS projects, Jira, etc.
5. Understanding of concepts involved in electrical and mechanical integration and processes, with strong command over all required tools of the trade.
6. Strong understanding of test campaigns and ability to quickly and accurately document test reports and results.
7. Strong experience and proficiency in understanding and maintaining test equipment, including but not limited to, power supplies, oscilloscopes, current monitors, loads, multimeters, etc
8. Knowledge of ESD phenomena and best practices to prevent ESD, surface cleaning and preparation processes.
