At Pixxel, It’s not enough for us to simply deliver satellite images to users. We believe it’s crucial to provide the end users with the necessary tools to effectively work with this imagery and other data, enabling them to derive insights seamlessly on a single platform without any hassle.To achieve this objective, we are building “Aurora” - an all-inclusive platform catering to a wide range of tasks within the remote sensing and geospatial analytics domain.
The Aurora platform will offer a seamless user experience, empowering individuals and organizations to accomplish various tasks. These tasks include requesting satellite imagery for specific regions, importing and analyzing diverse datasets using advanced analytics and machine learning models, and obtaining valuable insights, alerts, and recommendations. Furthermore, the platform will facilitate tracking actions based on recommendations and monitoring their impact.
As a Product Manager for Aurora, you will take ownership of multiple products and features across the funnel (Acquisition → Activation → Monetization → Retention → Referral), determine product positioning and deliver on product goals.
You will identify gaps in products and build business cases and drive multiple 0 to 1 initiatives to achieve product market fit by driving new products. For other existing products and features, you will own them completely till GTM and scale them to optimize user experience and to drive monetization.
In this role, you will work cross-functionally with Pixxel's Engineering Team including Software Engineers and Cloud Engineers, as well as Machine Learning Engineers, Geospatial Analysts, the Satellite Team and Pixxel's commercialisation teams (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success) to collaborate on the product roadmap.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Take complete ownership for the development of a comprehensive product roadmap for the product charter that you will own.
Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer interviews to identify customer needs and market trends.
Define customer journeys and identify MOATs for the products in your charter.
Incorporate customer feedback into the product.
Talk to customers, the sales team & company leadership and define how can we improve experience of customers in image ordering and delivery journey, drive adoption of Pixxel’s hyperspectral satellite images and how our AI / ML models and products can help large enterprises leverage satellite data to optimize their operations and improve resiliency.
Drive product strategy and define roadmaps, MVPs with a focus on business outcomes. Enable phase wise prioritisation and launch of key features.
Own and drive product features through their entire product life cycle: ideation, design, specification, development, release, analysis, and iteration.
Come up with solutions for end user’s problems and design simplified BPMN 2.0 diagrams, user flow diagrams, wireframes and UX prototypes.
Write Product Requirement Documents, Functional Specification Documents, create, and maintain a prioritized product backlog and user stories.
Groom the requirements thoroughly for the development team and manage the delivery of features with an agile framework and ceremonies like sprint planning, scrum, etc.
Ruthless prioritization - Among the hundreds of use cases, features, and products that we can build, you will be responsible for defining what to build and what not to build.
Translate & define outputs from AI & ML models into the platform user interface to help different user personas in large client enterprises.
Manage the day-to-day operations in the product life-cycle.
Define, measure, report, and drive the improvement of product metrics.
Collaborate with teams across the organization to deliver the product features.
Track features to timely delivery by removing any communication gaps and roadblocks across the teams.
Test each and every small/big feature like an end user.
Write user manuals, FAQs, API documentations to enable seamless user experience and improve feature adoption.
Present product feature demos to various internal and external stakeholders.
Act as a product evangelist, internally and externally, by providing required product documentation, presentations, video recordings, live demos, training, and support to sales, marketing and customer success teams.
Desirable Skills & Certifications:
At least 4-5 years of experience in product management in B2B SaaS
1-2 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML or Geospatial Analytics in the past.
Location: Indiranagar, Bangalore [Work from Office]
Focus on a deep understanding of the problem and then defining the problem first, instead of jumping to a solution directly.
Hands-on approach with customers, technology, and design, whether it's about getting on a call with customers, creating wireframes, or writing tech specs for the product.
Comfortable doing research to understand, structure and analyze ambiguous customer problems.
Customer Obsession and Empathy - An individual with a deep, customer-focused approach to identify and solve the correct user problems.
Continuous learning, self-driven, and ownership of work without a need to follow up.
Have a sense of urgency to solve customer problems and drive impact while being humble and respectful when working cross-functionally across the organization.
