Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and driven Process Excellence Intern to join our Supply Chain team for a period of 3 to 6 months. This role is ideal for an MBA student specializing in Supply Chain Management or Operations who is passionate about process improvement and optimization. The intern will work on enhancing supply chain operations across first-mile, mid-mile, and last-mile segments. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, be adept at process reengineering, and have an interest in applying Lean principles to real-world supply chain challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in process restructuring: Collaborate with the supply chain team to streamline and improve current processes to boost efficiency.
• KPI Development and Tracking: Design key performance indicators (KPIs) and create methods for tracking and measuring performance.
• Gap Identification: Conduct research to identify process inefficiencies and propose actionable improvements.
• Benchmarking: Analyze industry standards to benchmark current processes and suggest enhancements aligned with best practices.
• Lean Process Implementation: Apply lean methodologies to optimize processes and reduce waste within the supply chain.
• Fieldwork: Conduct on-ground visits to observe and document operational workflows, gaining insights for process reengineering.
• Data Analysis: Use statistical analytics tools to manage and analyze data for better decision-making and performance tracking.

Qualifications:

• Current MBA student specializing in supply chain management or operations.
• Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Process Reengineering Knowledge: Understanding of process improvement frameworks and methodologies.
• Research Proficiency: Capable of conducting thorough research and presenting findings effectively.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with statistical analysis tools for data evaluation.
• Fieldwork Readiness: Willingness to conduct site visits to observe and understand operational processes.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions to enhance productivity.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Lean Principles and their application in a supply chain environment.
• Experience or coursework in operations management and process optimization.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with different teams.
