JOB OVERVIEW:
Department: Supply Chain - Last Mile Operations
Location: Pune
- Zone 1: Tathawade & Aundh
- Zone 2: Wadgaon Sheri & Kalewadi Phata
About the Role:
We are looking for a highly driven Zonal Head – Last Mile Operations to oversee the
day-to-day execution of last-mile delivery operations across multiple dark stores
within an assigned zone. The role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence,
workforce management, service level adherence, and coordination across
cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
● Manage the overall operations of multiple dark stores within the assigned
zone.
● Ensure smooth execution of daily last-mile delivery operations while
maintaining service level agreements (SLAs).
● Lead and supervise Last Mile Executives (LMEs) to drive operational discipline
and process compliance.
● Monitor workforce planning, attendance, deployment, and manpower
availability across all assigned locations.
● Track route execution, delivery performance, and operational KPIs through
internal systems and dashboards.
● Coordinate with Mid Mile, Warehouse, Customer Experience, HR, and other
support functions for smooth daily operations.
● Identify operational bottlenecks and ensure timely resolution through effective
root cause analysis.
● Drive continuous improvements in productivity, route efficiency, delivery
quality, and customer satisfaction.
● Monitor inventory movement, stock availability, and operational readiness
across assigned dark stores.
● Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety standards, and operational
guidelines.
● Review operational reports, analyze performance trends, and present
actionable insights to leadership.
● Coach, mentor, and develop the field operations team through regular reviews
and performance feedback.
● Support hiring, onboarding, training, and capability development of delivery
partners.
● Ensure timely closure of operational issues and maintain high standards of
execution across the zone.
Desired Candidate Profile:
● Graduate in any discipline; qualification in Supply Chain or Operations is an
added advantage.
● 2–5 years of experience in Last Mile Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, FMCG,
Quick Commerce, or E-commerce.
● Experience in managing multiple operational sites and field teams.
● Strong leadership, problem-solving, and people management skills.
● Good analytical skills with experience using operational dashboards and
reports.
● Ability to work in early morning operational shifts as per business
requirements.
● Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and operational management tools is preferred.
