Position: Lead – Central Operations
Department: Procurement, Central Operations
Reporting To: Programme Manager – Central Operations
Experience: 2–3 Years
Location: Hyderabad (Extensive travel across rural procurement locations and BMCs)
About the Role
We are looking for a highly execution-focused Lead – Central Operations to drive
standardization, technology implementation, process excellence, and compliance across our
milk procurement network.
The role will work closely with procurement teams, BMC operators, village collection centres,
farmers, and cross-functional stakeholders to implement systems, improve operational
efficiency, and ensure adherence to SOPs across all Bulk Milk Chilling Centres (BMCs) and
Village Level Collection Centres (VLCCs).
This is a field-intensive implementation role requiring frequent travel across rural locations.
Key Responsibilities
A. Procurement Operations Excellence
Drive implementation and periodic review of the following across all BMCs:
● Testing SOP implementation and adherence
● BMC layout compliance and standardization
● BMC Hygiene SOP implementation
● Daily Operations SOP implementation
● BMC machinery inspection and preventive maintenance checks
● VLCC hygiene standards implementation
● Farmer-end hygiene SOP implementation
● Review operational processes and identify improvement opportunities
● Conduct process audits and ensure corrective actions are closed within timelines
B. Technology & Systems Implementation
Lead implementation of digital transformation initiatives across procurement operations, including:
● Farmer Management System (FMS) implementation
● BMC Compliance Management System rollout
● Digital data capture and reporting
● User training for BMC operators and field teams
● Adoption monitoring and issue resolution
● Coordination with technology vendors and internal product teams
● Track implementation KPIs and system utilization
C. Process Standardization
Develop and deploy standardized operational processes across procurement centres. Responsibilities include:
● SOP creation and revision
● Training BMC operators and field staff
● Process documentation
● Compliance scorecards
● Process improvement initiatives
● Root cause analysis of recurring operational issues
D. Compliance & Audits
● Conduct scheduled and surprise audits across BMCs
● Ensure statutory and internal compliance requirements are met
● Monitor hygiene, safety, asset utilization, and operational discipline
● Publish audit findings and improvement plans
● Track compliance closure with regional teams
E. Stakeholder Management
Work closely with:
● Procurement Teams
● Village Level Collection Centre (VLCC) Operators
● BMC Operators
● Farmers
● Procurement Executives
● Veterinary Teams
● Technology Teams
● Quality Teams
● Central Operations Team
The candidate should be comfortable communicating with blue-collar staff and farmers while driving behavioural and process change.
Travel Requirement
● Willingness to travel extensively across rural villages and BMC locations (70–80% field travel).
● Ability to stay in field locations whenever required for implementation projects.
