Role Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and qualified Assistant Manager – Costing to join our Finance team at Shabad, Telangana. The ideal candidate must be a CMA-qualified professional with 0–2 years of experience and a strong understanding of costing, financial analysis, budgeting and plant finance.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain product costing and standard cost sheets, including raw materials, packing materials, labour and overheads.
- Perform actual vs. standard cost variance analysis and identify key cost drivers.
- Analyse material consumption, production yield, wastage and conversion costs.
- Prepare monthly plant MIS, financial reports and profitability analysis.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process for the plant.
- Monitor and analyse inventory valuation, stock movements and inventory-related costs.
- Identify and support cost reduction and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Work closely with Production, Procurement, Stores and other departments to improve cost efficiency.
- Support new product costing and profitability analysis.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of costing data in Tally ERP.
- Support month-end closing, audits and other financial reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial policies, accounting standards and company procedures.
- Provide meaningful financial and costing insights to management for decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills
- CMA / ICWA qualification is mandatory.
- 0–2 years of experience in Costing / Finance & Accounts, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of product costing, standard costing, variance analysis and inventory accounting.
- Good working knowledge of Tally ERP and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with financial and operational data.
