Job Description

Role Overview
The Associate Program Manager (APM) will support the Director of Program & Product Strategy in planning, tracking, and executing cross-functional hardware and software programs from concept through production and field deployment.
This is an execution-focused, detail-oriented role. The APM will be responsible for keeping programs on track, ensuring commitments are met, surfacing risks early, and maintaining clear and accurate documentation across engineering, supply chain, vendors, and field teams. The role requires strong ownership, the ability to understand technical dependencies, ask the right questions, and actively drive closure across teams.
Key responsibilities
1. Program Planning & Execution
  • Break down high-level program objectives into clear milestones, deliverables, and task plans.
  • Build and maintain master program plans and dashboards (Wrike or similar tools).
  • Track schedule, scope, dependencies, and readiness across multiple cross-functional programs.
  • Ensure alignment on ownership, timelines, and deliverables.
2. Risk, Issue & Dependency Management
  • Identify, track, and drive issues to resolution—not just escalation.
  • Proactively surface risks and blockers with context, impact assessment, and recommended options.
  • Maintain clear visibility into inter-team and vendor dependencies.
3. Cross-Functional & Vendor Coordination
  • Work closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, Software, QA, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Field Operations teams.
  • Coordinate with external vendors on build schedules, deliverables, and documentation.
  • Track vendor commitments versus actuals, including build readiness and shipment status.
  • Ensure all vendor inputs and documentation are complete, accurate, and usable.
4. Documentation & Communication
  • Maintain up-to-date program documentation including plans, milestone trackers, change logs, and decision records.
  • Prepare concise and structured status updates, dashboards, and reviews for leadership.
  • Ensure clear communication across teams to avoid gaps or surprises during execution.
