Position Overview:

The role is responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and optimization of the portfolio of operating assets to ensure they are operating effectively, efficiently, and safely. This role includes managing asset life cycles, maintenance schedules, resource allocation, and compliance with industry standards in coordination with AMC partners. The Asset Operations Manager will work closely with teams from AMC partners, customers and external stakeholders to ensure that assets are maintained to the highest standards, minimizing downtime and operational costs.

Location: Gurgaon

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Asset Management Strategy:
    • Develop and implement asset management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and longevity of all assets
    • Oversee the full asset life cycle, from acquisition, utilization, and maintenance, to transfer back to customer
    • Ensure alignment of asset management strategies with the overall business goals and operational needs of the organization
  2. Asset Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
    • Monitor the performance of assets to ensure they are operating at maximum efficiency and capacity
    • Analyze asset performance data and implement measures to improve asset utilization, productivity, and lifespan
    • Use data analytics and asset management software to track and assess the performance and condition of assets
  3. Maintenance & Reliability Management:
    • Develop, schedule, and manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs in collaboration with AMC partners to ensure assets are in optimal working condition
    • Help coordinate routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance work to minimize asset downtime and avoid costly breakdowns
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and industry best practices in asset maintenance
  4. Budgeting & Cost Control:
    • Develop and manage budgets for asset maintenance, repair, and replacement, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality
    • Monitor and control costs associated with asset maintenance, repair services, and procurement of replacement parts
    • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in asset management without impacting operational efficiency
  5. Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Ensure assets comply with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal company policies
    • Develop and enforce safety and risk management procedures related to asset operations to prevent accidents, damage, or safety violations
    • Identify potential risks related to asset performance or failures and implement mitigation strategies to prevent disruptions
  6. Asset Data Management & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all assets, including asset history, condition, and performance data
    • Use asset management software or systems to track asset inventory, location, status, and maintenance schedules. Help create digitization blueprints for asset performance models
    • Prepare and deliver regular reports on asset performance, maintenance activities, and financial data to senior management
  7. Supplier & Partner Management:
    • Manage relationships with third-party vendors, service providers, and contractors for asset maintenance, repairs, and procurement
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality service, and timely delivery of parts and services.
    • Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs)
  8. Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
    • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in asset management processes, maintenance practices, and technology adoption
    • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation in asset management
    • Encourage the adoption of new tools, systems, and methods to enhance asset management capabilities

Qualifications:

  1. Education:

o Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field

  1. Experience:
    • 8+ years of experience in asset management, operations, or maintenance management, ideally within the relevant industry (e.g., manufacturing, energy, utilities, infrastructure)
    • Strong knowledge of asset management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and maintenance management tools (e.g., CMMS, SAP)
    • Experience in managing teams, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration
    • In-depth knowledge of asset life cycle management, maintenance practices, and risk management
    • Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements related to asset operations
  2. Skills:
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions
    • Results-oriented with a focus on improving asset efficiency and reducing downtime
